The Great Gatsby FINAL

There was just one thing that I predicted and it actually came out true, which was that it was a sad book. My prediction, that a person would have big dreams in life and he would not be able to overcome it because of the government, was half correct, because Gatsby did have big dreams but he stopped himself from reaching his goals, not the government.
Gatsby was very successful in reaching the American Dream, because he was a very wealthy person, and everyone dreams to be very rich. He was able to throw parties, buy expensive things, and do many things that many people just DREAM of doing. He was just the person that everyone wished that they were.
Money ruined him!

The Great Gatsby PREDICTION

From looking at the cover of the book and also by the name of the book, The Great Gatsby, I think that this book will be about how some guy has big dreams in his life and he has to overcome some obstacles in order to achieve his goal, but the goals are impossible to overcome. I think that in the book, the government will play a significant role in destroying this persons dreams. The expression that is on the face of the person on the book cover also makes me think that this is just going to be a really sad story.

HUMAN

There are many things that have to happen in order to be a human. First of all, one has to learn how to live with whatever that he/she has, just like Pip in Great Expectations, when Pip was young he learned to live with his sister and her husband without Pip ever being with his parents.
Second of all one has to go through many ups and downs throughout his/her life, just like Michelangelo in The Agony and Ecstasy did, when Michelangelo was young, he had no one to support him in sculpturing which was a down, and then Michelangelo got appreciated for his great talent when he became an adult, which was a up.
Third and final, to be human, one has to realize what is accepted by society. Something that the creature that Frankenstein had created, had learned in a very horrible way, for instance the creature got chased by villagers because he looked nothing like a human, but that the creature just looked like a "monster".

GREAT EXPECTATIONS BLOG!!!!!!!

The question is: How does Pip's life reflect the human condition?

Answer: Pip's life reflects the human conditions by showing that there are many different events in a persons life that shape up his/her life, from birth to death.

Great Expectations BLOG!!!!! :)

So the question is, if I was tormented by someone in my childhood, who then made me successful, would I feel a duty to help them if they were in trouble with the law, or would I leave him/her deal with it alone?
I definitely would try to help the person as much as I can, because that person is the one that made me who I am today, which is a successful human being. Which then would make me feel like I have to pay him or her back in some way, and by probing the person innocent, in whatever problem that he/she is facing with the law, would make me feel like I have paid the person back for what he or she has made me into, a very successful human being, like Pip.
